Unable to Set Due Date for New Opportunities

PROBLEM

  • When adding a new opportunity to a client record in Gorilla, you set the due date and added all the other information. When you clicked “Add/Update” for the opportunity, you receive the message “Type Mismatch” and the due date for the opportunity would instead only show as being 12:00 AM.

CAUSE

In this case, the short and long date format was correct in the regional and language options in Windows. However, the Region was set to “English (Belize),” and Gorilla only supports the region being set to “English (United States)” or “English (Canada).”

SOLUTION

  • Change the Region setting in Windows to be either “English (United States)” or “English (Canada),” then make sure the short date format is set to “mm/dd/yyyy” or its equivalent and the long date format is set to “dddd MMMM dd YYYY.”
