How to Change the Due Date in a Campaign
QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC
- “How do I change the due date for all the items in a campaign?”
- “Can I delay all the actions in a campaign?”
ANSWER
To change the due date for all the items in the campaign, you perform a housekeeping action. Housekeeping actions are a variety of processes used to change certain elements within a campaign. Among these processes is one for changing the due date of all items within a certain campaign.
To change the due date for all items, follow these steps:
- Start Gorilla as usual.
- Choose Campaigns from the main menu, then select Campaign Manager.
- Open the campaign whose due date you want to change by either clicking the folder icon on the menu bar, or choosing File from the main menu bar and then selecting Open.
- The “Open Campaign Instance” window will appear. Select the desired campaign instance and click OK. This will open the campaign instance in Campaign Manager.
- Choose File from the main menu bar and select Housekeeping Action.
- Click on the tab labeled “Delay Campaign.” The window changes and displays a box along with the text “Delay remaining actions by.”
- Enter the number of days by which you want to delay the campaign actions. The window shows a list of actions affected by the change, and also the new due date based on the value you enter. It’s important to note that the delay is expressed in business days, that is, weekdays excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
- Once you’ve entered the desired number of days, press the button labeled Run. This will process the change you made to the campaign.
Note: You can also move the date forward instead of backward. To do this, enter the number of business days to “delay” the actions to a negative number. For example, if you wanted the campaign actions to start a day sooner, enter the value “-1.” If you want it to start five business days earlier, enter “-5.”
