Campaign mailing not allowing for partial print

Campaign mailing not allowing for partial print

PROBLEM

  • When sending a letter from a campaign, the “partial” option is grayed out.

CAUSE

This is caused when you set up multi-pass printing and the destination track is set to the same track as the mailing.

SOLUTION

To resolve the issue, you will first need to update your campaign master.

  1. In Gorilla, click Campaigns>Campaign Editor.
  2. Click File>Open and then choose the campaign master that your instance was created from.
  3. Locate the mailing from the list of tasks, then double click it to open it.
  4. Change the destination track to be the next track after the mailing occurs. For instance, in the Monthly Drip, the mailing track is called Send Message. The track after that is called Message Sent. You will want to set the destination track to Message Sent.

  1. Click OK
  2. Click on File>Save, then close this window.

Now that the master has been updated, you will need create a new instance of the campaign.

  1. Click on Campaigns>Campaign Wizard
  2. Select the campaign that you just edited and click Next.
  3. Choose the selection rule you want to include in this campaign, and update the staff groups as necessary, then click Next.
  4. Set your event date and mailing date, click Next.
  5. On the Documents screen, locate the mass mailing item and click the three-dot box next to it. You can click the three-dot box to the right of the letter and choose the letter you want to send. Once you have updated all of the settings in this window, click OK.
  6. Click Next, then click Finish.
  7. Click Campaigns>Campaign Manager.
  8. Click Open and choose the campaign instance you just created.
  9. Now when you open the Send Message window, you will be able to set up a partial print.
