QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC
- How do I use the Campaign Wizard?
- How do I set up (activate) a campaign?
- What information do I need to start a campaign?
ANSWER
To set up a campaign, after you’ve imported it into the database, you must run the Campaign Wizard. The Campaign Wizard is a step-by-step guide to beginning a campaign.
Once a campaign has been installed, you can start the Campaign Wizard. To run the Wizard:
- Start Gorilla.
- Choose “Campaigns” from the menu bar, select “Campaign Wizard.” The “Campaign Wizard” window will appear:
- Select the campaign you wish to run in the Wizard. Change the name in the box labeled “Campaign Name.” This will create a new instance based on the campaign you selected but with the name you chose. When finished, click the button labeled “Next.” This will bring up the “Campaign Wizard – General Options” window:
- From here, you choose the selection rule to use for this campaign, the team responsible for the campaign, and the Staffgroups assigned to the campaign. Use the drop-down menus or the buttons labeled with the three dots to select the desired settings.
- Once you’ve made all the selections in this window, click the button labeled “Next.” This will bring up the “Campaign Wizard – Event Dates” window:
- In this window is a list of events within the campaign. For each event, you can either set the date for the event (by clicking on the button labeled with the three dots) or accept the default value.
- Once you’ve set the dates as you desire, click on the button labeled “Next.” This will bring up the “Campaign Wizard – Documents” window:
- This window displays a list of all the documents to be printed or sent from this campaign. Messages, scripts, and checklists are all listed in this window. For each document, there are three options:
- will print out a copy of the document without any merged information, such as a CG’s name or address.
- will preview the document inside of Microsoft Word.
- will bring up the “Setup Campaign Mailing” window and allow you to make changes to the document’s campaign properties (such as signatories, channel, etc.) and allow you to choose a different document if desired.
- Once you’ve reviewed the documents, click on the button labeled “Next.” This will take you to the “Campaign Wizard – Finish” window.
- There is only one option in this window: resetting the worksheet if it is already owned by a CG. This should only be checked if instructed by your Marketing Support Representative or your campaign documentation.
- Note that checking this option will permanently erase all data from all of this campaign’s worksheets for CGs that will be added into this campaign.
- Click on the button labeled “Finish” and the campaign instance will be created and can be viewed from within the Campaign Manager.
