Where to Save Custom Reports
QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC
- Where do I save the Custom Report that I just received?
- What do I do with the Custom Report that I was sent?
ANSWER
Your custom reports should always be saved in the same location so that each time you run a report, you’ll always know where they are. Whenever you are sent a custom report, you should follow the steps below for saving it:- Right click on the attachment and choose Save As.
- In the Save Attachment window, browse to c:\program files (x86)\bill good marketing\gorilla crm fs 4.3\reports.
- Click Save.
Saving in this location will mean that the only person with access to the report is the person who saved it on their computer. If you need everyone to have access to it, then you will need to save it to your network location where your database and data are stored. To find this location:
- Open Gorilla and click on Tools>Options>Directories.
- Make a note of where your database and data are located. In the screen shot below, our data is in the G drive.
- Right-click on Start, then choose File Explorer and browse to the network drive listed in your directories. For our example, we will browse to the G drive.
- Click on the New Folder option from the Home tab of your File Explorer.
- You will now see an entry that says, “New Folder”. Type in that box and rename it to Reports, then press enter.
- Now, following the first set of steps in this article, you can save your custom report to the Reports folder that you just created.
