PDA-Outlook Sync Tool Crashes When Trying to Sync a Certain CG Record into Outlook

PROBLEM

  • When running the PDA/Outlook Sync Tool in Gorilla, the CompanionLink will crash and bring up the message: "Companionlink MFC has stopped working."

CAUSE

This appears to be caused by one or more CG records having one or more Note records with an LDAP header within the Note record.

SOLUTION

You can go into the Info sheet and use the filter to find those notes that “Contain” the headers of "/O=", "/OU=", and/or "/cn=" and then go through each Note record that comes up and try to remove them manually. 

If you are unable to get this done, you will need to send your database in:

  • Call Software Support at 801-553-9888 for assistance with sending in your database. 
  • Once the repair has been completed, we will call you back to help you get your repaired database restored on your network. 
  • Note: All database repairs have a 24 hour turnaround time
