The Word Templates Gorilla uses are missing, how can I get them installed?
ANSWER
-
On your Gorilla computer click the Windows Logo, then click "Computer."
-
Windows 10: Right-click the Windows square icon, then click “File Explorer.”
-
Alternatively, in both Windows 7 and 10, there should be a small folder on the task bar that you can click that will open the File Explorer.
-
Once that window opens, browse to the Gorilla Word Templates location.
-
Gorilla 4.0 default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bill Good Marketing\Gorilla CRM System for Financial Services\Word Templates
-
Gorilla 4.2+ default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bill Good Marketing\Gorilla CRM FS 4.x\Word Templates (where x is the Gorilla sub-version)
-
To find your Gorilla version, open Gorilla then click Help->About
-
In the Word Templates folder, you should see these files (there may be more if Word has added any custom templates):
-
B2-ltrs.dot
-
B2-styls.dot
-
LabelLarge.dot
-
LabelMedium.dot
-
LabelSmall.dot
-
Before you reinstall the Gorilla Word Templates, you will need to delete these files from the Word Templates location
.
-
Download the appropriate Word Templates based on the version of Gorilla you are running. You will need to enter in your name, Company and Email address in order to download the files.
-
4.0 Word Templates
-
4.2 Word Templates
-
4.3 Word Templates
-
4.5 Word Templates

NOTE
: There is currently an issue with two anti-viruses flagging the Word Templates as possible viruses. These have been confirmed to be false positives. They are being flagged due to how the Word Templates work, in that it creates a new file, it spawns a new MS Word process to open and work on that new file and the way in which the template does those actions is apparently triggering a generic rule violation. We are working with those anti-virus companies to reanalyze and confirm the false positive. For now, it is recommended that your IT configure your anti-virus to bypass the Word Templates folder so as not to delete these files that Gorilla requires.
-
Find the downloaded file, right-click then select the menu option “Extract All”. This will open the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders Wizard.
-
Click browse and navigate to the Gorilla Word Templates location (see Step 2). After selecting the Word Templates folder, click Extract. After it's done extracting a window may appear with the Word Templates folder and at this point you can verify the files are there.
You've now successfully reinstalled your Gorilla Word Templates. If you have any questions or problems, please contact Software Support @ 801-553-9888.
