ANSWER
- Open the Gorilla Document Manager by going to Messaging>Document Manager, or by pressing F6 on your keyboard.
- Once in the Document Manager, on the top left there is a drop down field that needs to be set on Messages.
- In the Document Manager locate the letter “Master Message-Master Template-Letter No Picture.” The “No Picture” does not mean that portraits won’t print. It refers to team pictures in the body of the message. If you would like a team picture in the letter along with the portraits, you can choose the one picture, or two picture version of the letter. (If you do not have these letters you can download them from The Letters Library on the Bill Good Marketing website.)
- With the Master Template Letter selected, click on the “New” button at the top of the Document Manager. This will bring up the Define Message screen.
- In the Define Message screen locate the File Name field at the top of the window. In that File Name field, enter the new letter’s File Name, and add a description below that.
- Click "OK" to save the document.
- Search for the new letter name, once you locate it, highlight it and click on Edit to bring up the Define Message screen. Click on the Edit Single button in the middle section of the screen. (The single version of the new letter must be set up completely before you can accurately create the plural version.)
- After you click on the Edit Single button, Microsoft Word will open with a copy of the template letter. (The letter may open behind the Gorilla window, at which time you would just select the Microsoft Word document from the Windows Task bar located at the bottom of the window to bring the letter to the front.)
- With the letter now open, you are free edit the new letter.
- Once you have finished making changes to the new letter you will need to save it.
- Once the save is complete, it will bring you back to the Define Message window. If you ever need to send a plural version of the letter, you must choose to Edit/Create Plural, make any edits, and Save and Exit to Gorilla. That will take you back to the Define Message screen. Click on the "OK" button on the lower right side of the window to complete the new letter.
