How to Compact the Gorilla® 4.x Database

  • How do I compact and repair the Gorilla 4.x database?

ANSWER

  1. Make sure that everyone has closed out of Gorilla.
  2. Click on your start menu, go to Programs, then BGM – Gorilla CRM System for Financial Services, and select Compact Database.
  3. Gorilla will open, and there will be two fields.  The first shows you the location of your database.  
  4. Click on the 3-dot box to the right of the second field, and navigate to a location to back up your database to, enter a file name, and click Open.

  5. Click OK to complete the compact procedure.  You will arrive at the Gorilla login screen when the database compact is complete.
