ANSWER

This message is appearing because the database stores a list of what documents should be in the Letters, Attachments, and ScriptChecklist directories and one or more of these files are missing. 

These invalid documents show up in the document manager with a red invalid exclamation point.  

 If most or all of the documents are marked invalid then chances are the directories are not pointing to the right place.  

• First make sure that the directories for Letters, Attachments, and ScriptChecklist under Tools, Options, Directories are correct. 
  • Go to Tools → options → Directories
    
• If one or more of your directories are incorrect you can fix them by clicking on the … button to the right of the directory and browsing to the correct directory. 
• If you aren’t sure where your data directory is located, it is normally in the same directory as your database directory. 
• If you know where the file is located you can copy it into the Letters, Attachments, or ScriptChecklist directory inside your data directory. 
• If the file name is different than the name in Document Manager, rename the file to match document manager. 
• If you can’t find the file then you will have to delete the invalid item in document manger and re-download or recreate the invalid letter.
