How to Add a System Owner

QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC

  • The system owner's name is spelled wrong; how can I update that?
  • We just purchased a new system owner, how can we get them added into Gorilla? 

ANSWER

  1. In Gorilla, open Team Management by clicking on Tools, then Team Management.
  2. Click on New>System Owner to get the following window:

  3. Contact Software Support, let them know you are adding a system owner and give them the security code.
  4. Software Support will give you an Authorization Code.
  5. Enter the Access code into the Authorization Code field and then click Next.
  6. Click “I Accept” for the licensing agreement and then click Next.
  7. Enter in the System Owner Data (The required fields are First Name, Last Name, Title and Gender), then click Next.
  8. Click on the ellipses (three dot box) next to the Password Field.
  9. Leave the Old Password field blank, fill in a New Password and Confirm New password, then click Update.
  10. Click OK on the pop up that says Password Changed.
  11. Enter in an Emergency Phone number and the campaign experience (this will usually be Beginner), then click Next.
  12. Fill in all of the Merge Fields.
    • Signatory Title - This is the Job Title (i.e. Financial Advisor)
    • Signatory Initials - This the first initial of the first name, first initial of the middle name and first initial of the last name.
    • Signatory Line - This is the system owners First and Last name (middle name or middle initial can also be included).
    • Signatory Credentials - This is for any certification or registration credentials (i.e. CFP - If they don't have one, put an * into this field then explain to them they will need to remove the * using Team Management)
  13. Once all of that information has been filled in, click Next.
  14. Click Finish.

The new system owner is now available within Gorilla. At this point, you will need create a team for the new system owner as well as adding them into staff groups.

NOTE: Anyone who is not a member of the system owner's team will not be able to see any clients that belong to the system owner.
