How to Delete a System Owner

  • How do I delete a System Owner for an advisor that is no longer with us?

ANSWER

If you are changing one System Owner for another, you first need to make sure the new System Owner is added into the system. If you are not replacing the System Owner, you will need to edit the teams associated with the old System Owner and switch them to a new System Owner.
  1. Highlight the Team name from the Team Management window.
  2. On the right, click on the drop down arrow for Team Owner.
  3. Choose the new System Owner username (first initial of first name followed by last name).
  4. Click Update from the bottom of the screen.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for any Teams that need to be updated.

Note: Any Contact Group still associated with the old System Owner will no longer be visible once the remaining steps are performed.

At this point, you can delete the System Owner from Team Management.

  1. From Team Management, click on Edit>System Owner and then choose the System Owner you wish to delete.
  2. On the bottom right side of the screen, click on Delete.
  3. You will get a warning that it will permanently delete the System Owner, click OK.
