Blank lines appear in the address section when sending letters

PROBLEM

  1. When I print letters, I am getting spaces between address lines.

CAUSE

This issue occurs only in a recent update to Word, version 16.0.13901.20148. It has caused an issue with the macros being used where it is not suppressing the blank lines.   


SOLUTION

Microsoft has actually released an update on April 29, 2021 that has resolved this issue.

To update your version of word:

  1. Close Gorilla.
  2. Open Word and click on File>Account
  3. Click on the Update Options drop down and choose Update Now.
  4. It will take a few minutes to download the update, and will prompt you to close apps in order to complete the update.
  5. Once it is done updating, open Word and click on File>Account
  6. In the About Word section, verify you are on the newest version (Build 13929.20296).
    • Note : If your version is a larger number, that should be fine as it means it is an even newer version than the April 29, 2021 update. 
  7. Once that has been verified, you can close Word and open Gorilla to test sending a letter.
