How to Resolve Issues with the Action To Do Report
QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC
- “Why is some information not appearing on my Action To-Do report?”
- “Why are there too many actions on my Action To-Do report?”
ANSWER
Virtually all issues with the “Action To-Do” report fall into two categories: report options set incorrectly, or the team structured incorrectly. Below are the instructions for verifying both of these areas.
Verifying Team Structure
- From the Main Menu, select “Tools,” then “Team Management.”
- Verify that each staff group has all of the appropriate system users attached to it and only those system users. Failing to do this may result in the appearance of a team member’s objectives or actions to appear on the action reports for all users.
Verifying the Report Options
- From the main menu, select the option “Reports,” then “Action To Do.” This will bring up the “Action To-Do Options” window:
- Verify the “Due Dates” are correct. Remember, only actions within those dates will be shown. These dates revert back to the default values every time the “Action To-Do” report is accessed. (The “Start Date” will be empty, and the “End Date” will contain today’s date.)
- Check each of the tab sections—Campaigns, Priority, Action Type, and Users— and verify that only the items you want are checked.
- Verify that the “Optional Data” panel is filled out as desired.
- Check that the filter and the “Number of History Items to Print per Task” are filled out as needed. Note: “Related History” is different depending on what the item is.
- If the item is an objective then the related items are the objective itself, and any items for which it is the “parent” objective.
- If the item is an action then the related items are the action itself, its “parent,” and any other items sharing the same “parent.”
