Corrupt Contact Group

QUESTIONS THAT APPLY TO THIS TOPIC

  • A Contact Group (CG) in my database has become corrupt. How do I fix it?
  • How do I load my database backup in Playground to access old CG information?

ANSWER

To load a copy of your database from a backup, please follow the instructions below:
  1. Open a File Explorer window and browse to your backup location.
  2. Find and open the most recent compressed (zipped) folder, or the last known backup with correct information.
  3. Right-click on the .mdb file and choose Copy.
  4. Open the File Explorer window, right-click in an empty area and choose Paste.
    • Please Note: You can also drag-and-drop instead of Copy and Paste.
  5. Open Playground and sign in.
  6. Go to Tools > Options > Directories.
  7. Click the 3 dot box next to “Database.”
  8. Browse to the location where the unzipped backup file was saved.
  9. Gorilla will give you the following popup:

  10. Click Okay and relaunch the playground.
  11. Locate the corrupt CG in the playground.
  12. In the Live Gorilla Database, create a new CG and copy the information from the backup now open in Playground into the Live Database.
