PROBLEM

• Visual Basic Error: Value Out of Range when sending a Letter.

SOLUTION

1. Try deleting any section breaks within the Letter.
2. Copy the letter into Notepad and then recreate it based on a working Master within the Document Manager.

Gorilla 4.0 and older

When trying to print a Customized message, you get the error: 
“Value out of range”

The issue involves the fact that Word 2007 now has a default save of its documents to a new .docx format. This format is not currently compatible with Gorilla 4.0. To correct this, the steps are as follows.

1. Close all open Word instances & Gorilla
2. Open Word 2007
3. Go to the Windows Logo/File button in the top left corner.
4. Click the “Word Options” button on the bottom right of the menu.
5. On the left side go to “Save”
6. The very first selection will say “Save files in this format” Click the drop down and change this format to “Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)
7. At the bottom of the screen click “OK”
8. Close Word and restart Gorilla
9. Try to send the customized message
