Unexpected the Search Key was not Found

Unexpected the Search Key was not Found

PROBLEM

  • When trying to add an action into Gorilla, you get the pop up message: Program error intercepted ‘an unexpected the search key was not found in any record’.

CAUSE

There are potentially a few causes for this issue:

  • The Actions table in the database could be missing the primary key
  • Or there is a damaged Action that needs to be repaired through the backend.

SOLUTION

Have everyone close out of Gorilla, then run the Gorilla database Fixer utility.

  1. If you haven’t done so already, make a backup of your database.
  2. Click on Start>All Programs>BGM – Gorilla CRM System for Financial Services>Database Fixer.
  3. The Fix Gorilla Database and Fix Playground Database below the directory lines toggle between which directories you want to fix.
    • The Add Sample Contact Groups checkbox will add several contact groups to the database. They are good for testing purposes.
  4. Click Next to continue.
  5. Click Finish and the database fixer will then proceed through its process, and display the results. You have the option to save and to print from this screen, as well.
  6. Click close, and the Database Fixer will close.

If this does not resolve the issue. Please call Software Support at 801-553-9888 for further assistance with this.
