Unexpected Automation Error Object Invoked has Disconnected from its Clients

PROBLEM

  • When trying to print, you get the error "unexpected automation error object invoked has disconnected from its clients."

CAUSE

This happens when the vsprint7.ocx file gets updated to a version that Gorilla cannot work with.

SOLUTION

You will need to go back to an older version of vsprint7.ocx.

  1. On a computer that is working, go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
  2. Copy the file: vsprint7.ocx.
  3. You will need to put the file on a shared location or on a thumb drive.
  4. From the computer that is having the error, copy the vsprint7.ocx file from the shared location or thumb drive that you saved it to.
  5. Go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and paste the file there.
  6. When asked, click to replace the file that is currently there.
On 32-bit machines, the file will be found under C:\Windows\System32 instead.
