Unable to Attach B2-Ltrs.dot to Document

PROBLEM

Scenario 1

  • When sending a customized message from Gorilla, you finish the message, save the changes then click to continue printing, and get the message "Unable to attach B2-ltrs.dot file to [file name].doc."

Scenario 2

  • When attempting to print a specific letter from Gorilla, you get the error "Unable to attach B2-ltrs.dot file to [file name].doc."

SOLUTION

Scenario 1

Close Gorilla and open Microsoft Word to a blank document. Click File->Options then select the Save option on the left side of the window. Verify that the Save files in this format option is set to "Word Macro-Enabled Document (.docm)", then click OK to save the changes.

Scenario 2

  • Follow the steps in the Unable to Run MS Word Macro article.
  • Check the letter name and description for invalid Windows characters ( \ / : * ? " < > | ) as these will cause errors with Gorilla.
