PROBLEM

• When importing a list or a Campaign, you get a “Type Mismatch” error.
  

CAUSE

This is usually caused by importing the wrong file type or trying to import a zipped file.

SOLUTION

• Campaigns
  
  1. If the Campaign downloaded came in a compressed (zipped) folder, be sure to extract the .mdb from the .zip.
     
  2. Click on Windows Logo/Orb->All Apps/Programs->BGM - Gorilla System for Financial Services->Import Utility.
     
  3. Click on the ellipses (three dot box), and choose the .mdb file you wish to import.
     
  4. Click Next.
     
  5. On the duplicate checking screen, you will need to select if you want to use the already existing files, or replace the existing files with ones contained in the Campaign Database.
     Note : Everyone must be out of Gorilla to import any .mdb file (campaigns, speedbuttons, office procedures, etc...)
• Lists
  
  • List files must be in either .txt or .csv file formats.
    
  • If the file you are trying to import is a .xls or .xlsx, you must open the file in Excel and then click on File>Save As and choose CSV (comma delimited) (*.csv) from the Save as type drop down.
    
  • If you are dealing with a .doc or .docx file, then you will need to re-save it as Plain Text (*.txt)
    
  • Once you have the correct file type, you may proceed with importing the file.
