- “How do I fix an Error #76 when I try to import a satellite?”
- “How to I repair a ‘path not found’ error with my satellite?”
ANSWER
When trying to import to a satellite installation of Gorilla, an error stating “Runtime Error 76, path not found” may occur. The reason for this error is that the satellite installation doesn’t have a database directory. To resolve this error you must create a directory.- Using Windows Explorer (accessed by clicking on the “My Computer” icon on the desktop), locate the database folder on the system which has the satellite installation. Typically, this can be found at C:\program files\bill good marketing\Gorilla CRM for Financial Services\Database.
- Select “File” from the menu toolbar, then select “New” from the pop-up menu, then “Folder.”
- Rename this new folder to “Satellite.”
- Close Gorilla, and then restart it. The import should work at this point.
Note that this path must match the path defined in Gorilla under the directory options. You can view this setting by starting Gorilla, then clicking on “Tools,” then “Options,” and then the tab labeled “Directories.”
