PROBLEM

• When trying to customize a message in Gorilla, you get a visual basic overflow error.

CAUSE

When customizing a message in Gorilla, the program opens a Word document that has a hexadecimal file name.  Part of the customization process includes saving the changes to the Word document that is created for you to customize.  That document is saved in the Gorilla Letters Folder.  Every time you customize a message in Gorilla, a letter with the hexadecimal file name is stored in the letters folder.  Eventually you will run out of acceptable file names for custom messages and Word will bring up the error MS Visual Basic Overflow and prevent you from customizing a message.

SOLUTION

To correct this error, you will need to open the Gorilla Letters Folder and delete your custom messages that were saved, or at the very least move them out of the Letters folder and into another location.

1. You can locate the folder location by clicking on Tools>Options>Directories within Gorilla.
2. Copy the path next to Letters Directory.
3. Click on Start>Computer
4. Paste the path into the top left bar of the Windows Explorer screen and press enter.
