How to Use Team Merge Fields in Gorilla®

- How can I get my team member’s names to merge into a letter?
ANSWER
Gorilla has standard merge fields for Advisor, Computer Operator, Sales Assistant, and Service Assistant. Some of our letters already use these merge fields, however, if you need to insert one of these merge fields, you can do so using the steps outlined in our How to Use Merge Fields in Gorilla Letters article.
If you have a letter using these merge fields, but they are not filling in, or filling in the incorrect information, then you will need to check your options in Team Management. Follow the instructions below to do this.
- Within Gorilla, click on Toolsà Team Management.
- Click on the Team name that you are working with, and on the right, you will see the Team Name, Team Owner, and the Letter Merge Fields
- If any of the Letter Merge Fields are blank, or contain the incorrect information, you can update that here.
- Once you have filled in the correct information, click on the Update button at the bottom of the window to save the changes.
- If you have multiple teams, check each one for the Letter Merge Field information.
- If the teams are all owned by the same Advisor, they must all contain the same Letter Merge Field information, otherwise Gorilla may insert incorrect information.
- Teams owned by different Advisors may have different Letter Merge Field information as Gorilla will merge the information based on the signatory used.
