How to Set-up Opportunity Templates
Best Practices:
- Customize Opportunity Templates to match your process.
-
Only Customize the Opportunity Templates for the types of opportunities your practice deals with.
-
Delete unused templates.
Gorilla 5 comes with several pre-configured Opportunity Templates for both Parent and Product Opportunities.
Go to the Customize Workspace→Opportunity Management tab→Templates tab.
Whether editing an existing Opportunity Template or creating a new one, both use the same process.
-
Use the Edit button to modify an existing Opportunity Template.
-
Use the Add button and choose one of the two types of opportunities
Parent Opportunity – An opportunity that can be progressed into multiple Product Opportunities.
Product Opportunity – Most opportunities are created as Product Opportunities. These are also known as Deals in g5.
Add a name, and optionally a description, in the Details tab. You can also change the default icon if desired. Choose whether this template will be used for Households or Contacts in the Target Entity Type field.
Go to the Stages tab and add, edit, or delete stages to customize the template for your processes.
-
Choose which stages your opportunity will use. You should choose stages that accurately reflect your process.
-
Set a probability for each stage. Probabilities are used for long term budgeting.
Click OK when finished.
