How to Run Task Reports

A Task report provides an exported list of tasks based on a filter you select before running the report. It includes:

  • Who the task(s) are for, and the filter used on the report.
  • The description, status, and priority of each task.
  • The start and due date of each one.
  • The name and preferred communication method for each Household or Contact a task is for.

To run a Task Report:

  1. Go to the Task workspace.
  2. Create the filter you want to run the report on.
    A common filter used for this report is Tasks, Assigned to this user, and Status not equals Cancelled, Completed.

  Note:

  • There are two types of reports you can create, depending on how you set up your filter.
  • If you select the Task filter, then add any additional filters to that, your report will be based on a specific User’s tasks… by default that User will be you.
  • If you select My Delegated Tasks to start creating your filter, then the report will be based on tasks you assigned to other people, rather than those assigned to a specific person.
  1. Click Reports and select Task Report (or My Delegated Task Report if that is the filter you have set up for the report).
     
  2. Select the format you want it to download in:
    • PDF will download a PDF of the report.
    • Excel will download the report in a spreadsheet format.
    • RTF will download a rich text report.
  3. Click Run Report.

  Note:

  • If you run a My Delegated Task Report, you will also have a couple more options.
  • Choose Include page break after each user’s tasks to separate the report by User on separate pages. This can be useful for handing the pages out to each of those Users.
  • Choose Show Users with No Tasks to display Users that have not been delegated any tasks by you.
