How to Open G5 on Your Mobile Device
Currently there is not an app that you can download from any app store. However, you can still get G5 on your mobile device for easy usage.
Android
-
Open Google Chrome or whichever browser you prefer.
-
In the address bar, enter in the address to your instance of G5.
-
You will then get your login screen. Go ahead and log in to G5.
-
Tap the three dots and top right of your browser.
-
Choose the option “Add to Home Screen.”
-
You will now get a pop up with a name already listed for the icon that will be added to your home screen.
-
You can keep this name, or if you prefer, you can rename it to G5.
-
Once you have renamed the icon, tap on the Add button at the bottom right.
-
You will need to tap the Add button on the next screen that comes up as well.
-
Now when you go to your home screen, you will see an icon for G5.
iPhone
-
Launch the Safari app. This does not work from the Chrome app.
-
In the address bar, enter in the address to your instance of G5. Tap Go.
-
You will then get your login screen. Go ahead and log in to G5.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
-
Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don’t see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you’ll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)
-
The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
-
Enter G5 or another name of your preference and tap Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s home screen.
