How to Make a Manual Backup of your Gorilla Data

ANSWER

Database Only

  1. Open a File Explorer window and browse to the location of your database.
    • For Cloud users, it will be located on the V: drive.
  2. Right click on your database file (B4x.mdb where x is the sub-version of Gorilla)
  3. Choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) Folder
    • This will create a .zip file (B4x.zip)
  4. Rename the .zip file by doing a right click and selecting Rename.
    • This file should be named something like Backup of Database (today's date).zip
  5. Save this file to a flash drive, or external hard drive.

Database and Data Folders

  1. Open a File Explorer window and browse to the data and database folders location.
    • For Cloud users, they will be located on the V: drive.
  2. Select both the Data and Database folders.
  3. Right click either selected folder and choose Send to ยป Compressed (zipped) Folder
    • This will create a .zip file (data or database.zip)

  4. Rename the .zip file by right clicking on it and choose Rename.
    • This file should be named something like Backup of Database and Data (today's date).zip
  5. Save this file to a flash drive, or external hard drive.
