How to Dock and Undock Gorilla 4.x

ANSWER

Undocking

The process of undocking Gorilla creates a satellite database that can be used while away from the office.  Using this feature will allow Gorilla to automatically complete the process for you rather than having to do a Satellite Import/Export. 

  1. To undock Gorilla, click on Import/Export>Undock Non-Master. 
  2. On the screen pictured below, click “OK.” 

  3. You should then see the following:

  4. Click “OK,” Gorilla will then close. 

Now the next time you open Gorilla, it will open the satellite copy of your database. 

Docking

Similar to undocking, docking your Gorilla is an automatic process.  It will upload your updates into the master database and then switch Gorilla to using that master database instead of the satellite. 

  1. To dock Gorilla, click on Import/Export>Dock Satellite. 
  2. On the screen pictured below, click “OK.”

  3. You should then see the following:

  4. Click “OK,” Gorilla will then close. 

The next time you open Gorilla, it will open your main database.
