How to Add Participant Statuses to a Workflow Template

This article covers the first part of creating one: Change the default Participant Statuses into the ones your campaign needs to use.


To edit or create a Workflow Template:

Go to Customize→Campaigns→Workflow Templates.

Click on the name of an existing workflow template to edit it or click the Add button to create a new one.

If you are creating a new one, give it a name and click OK. Then click on its name to open it.

Remove Default Statuses

When first created, a new workflow will already have default Participant Statuses.

You need to remove these and replace them with the Participant Statuses you created for this campaign.

Click the Select Status button in the top right, below the banner.

Uncheck the default Participant Statuses from the list.

NOTE: You will not be able to remove Contacted or Targeted from the list yet.

Check the Participant Statuses you created for this campaign. Click OK when finished.

Use the Edit button in the banner to change the default Participant Status.

Change Targeted to the first Participant Status in your campaign.

Example: In the Reply Card campaign, I would change Targeted to 0-RC Planning.

Change Contacted to the second Participant Status in your campaign.

Example: In the Reply Card campaign, I would change Contacted to 1-RC Promotion.

Click OK when finished.

Remove Targeted and Contacted from the Participant Statuses.

Now you only have the statuses this campaign needs.
