Gorilla has Stopped Working (CLR20r3)

PROBLEM

  • When trying to perform any kind of action within Gorilla, you get the error: Gorilla CRM has stopped working.

CAUSE

The Problem Event Name of CLR20r3 signifies a miscommunication with the .NET Framework. The Problem Signature 04 of G3Sync signifies that the issue was caused by the Outlook Email to Note sync. Each time Gorilla performs a sync of the emails, it causes a miscommunication with the .NET Framework. Then, the next time you try to perform any action within Gorilla, it crashes.

SOLUTION

Turn off the Auto Sync feature for the Email Synchronization.

  1. In Gorilla, click on Tools>Options.
  2. Click on the “Other Window Options” tab.
  3. Choose “Email Synchronization” from the bottom of the list on the left.
  4. Uncheck the box “Enable Automatic Email Synchronization.”
  5. Click “Close.”

This will prevent Gorilla from automatically syncing your emails. You can still sync your emails, you will just need to do it manually at the end of the day before you close Gorilla.

To manually sync your emails:

  1. Click on “Messaging.”
  2. Choose “Synchronize Email.”

Once it gives you the message “Email Synchronization Complete,” you can click “OK” and then close out of Gorilla.
