Formatting Issues with Text Boxes and Tables

EXPLANATION

  • There are any number of problems that arise when combining text boxes and tables in any version of Word. Specifically, formatting changes drastically and these changes may or may not be reflected in a preview of the document or even when editing the document in Word. Because of this, it’s impossible to really explain what to look for when it comes to text boxes other than the presence of the box itself.
  • Basically, if there are formatting errors and there is a text box in the document, the document will have to be recreated without the text box.
  • Note that the quickest way of doing this is to use tables instead of text boxes to achieve the same look of the original document.
