Use the Document Manager workspace to store, organize, and modify documents that are not associated with a specific entity.

A document is an object in Gorilla 5 that is used to store computer files, such as Microsoft Word, PDF, or image files, as attachments.

The Document Manager workspace


The Document Manager workspace allows you to store and manage any documents that you use in Gorilla 5.

Documents in the Document Manager are organized into folders just like your computer's file explorer.

Folders and documents can appear in the same table list.

  • Folders appear in the table with the   icon.
  • Documents appear in the table with the   icon.

The Document Manager workspace enables you to:

  • Find the document you are looking for by using the search field.
  • Add or Delete Folders and Documents to the system.
  • Edit the details of a document stored in the system.
  • Set a default document folder.

Common use cases

  • To open a folder, click on the folder's name. This displays the documents that are in the folder on a table.
  • To edit a folder, click the name to open the Edit dialog.
    • From the edit dialogue you can can download the letter to your computer by clicking its name.
  • To set a default document folder, you can:
    • Click the Set as Default Folder   button in the table toolbar.
    • Select the required folder in the table, click the Set as Default Folder button, and click OK in the confirmation message.
