Dashboard Viewer

The Dashboard Viewer displays existing dashboards.

While the Dashboard Builder displays a preview of your dashboard, the Dashboard Viewer displays the full data (as of the last time each report on it was updated).

To launch the Dashboard Viewer:

Go to the Reports workspace

Go to All Dashboards

Select the Dashboard you want to view.

Working with Dashboards

Dashboards enable you to view data from multiple reports simultaneously.

By organizing pieces from related reports into a single dashboard, you can get quick and helpful insights into the subject of the reports.

You can use the Summary, Visualization, or Detailed data of the reports that you have access to.

You can control the size of a dashboard as well as each component. You can reposition the components to suit your needs.

To Create or Edit a dashboard:

Create a New Dashboard

  1. Go to the Reports workspace
  2. Go to All Dashboards or My Dashboards
  3. Click Add Dashboard to create a new Dashboard.
  4. Name your dashboard. For example type Activity Management
  5. Give your dashboard a description. For example type Activities at a Glance
  6. Make your dashboard public by Unchecking the Private Dashboard checkbox.
  7. Click Save Dashboard to finish.

Add an Item to Your Dashboard.

  1. Click Edit
  2. Click Add Item


    In the Caption field, enter a title for the item, such as Overdue Tasks Breakdown.


    In the Description field, enter the context or purpose for the item, such as Provides a summary of outstanding tasks.


  3. Click the + to add a report to your Dashboard.
  4. Filter the list for the Report you want to use, then click OK.
  5. Click the Edit icon to select how the report data displays. There are three options: Detail, Summary, or Chart.

    With the Detail option, you will see detailed information.


    With the Summary option, you will see a summary of your Overdue tasks.


    With the Chart option, you will see a visualization of your Overdue tasks.


  6. Use the Columns and Rows to scale the items on your Dashboard. Gorilla 5 sets these fields to 1x1.
  7. Sort Order is the order each item in your Dashboard will appear. You do not need to change it.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Save Dashboard to complete this task.

Add Second New Item to Your Dashboard

  1. Click Edit
  2. Click Add Item

  3. In the Caption field, name this item Upcoming Activities.
  4. Enter a Description that explains what this item is about, such as View of Activity Items for the Next 30 Days.
  5. Locate the Upcoming Activity Breakdown report, and choose the Chart view.
  6. Size the Dashboard item. Enter 2 in the Columns field, and 1 in the Rows.
  7. Click Save

  8. Click Save Dashboard to complete this action.

Add Third New Item to Your Dashboard

  1. Click Edit
  2. Click Add Item


    In the Caption field, name this item Completed Activity Breakdown.


  3. Enter Provides a summary of completed Activities over the past 30 days in the Description field.
  4. Locate the Completed Activity Breakdown Report and select the Chart view.
  5. Size the Dashboard item. Enter 3in the Columns field, and 1 in the Rows.
  6. Click Save

  7. Click Save Dashboard to complete this activity.

Sharing and Exporting dashboards

You can share a dashboard's URL, or export the dashboard, to enable other users to access the dashboard easily.

  1. Open the dashboard and click the 3-dot button
  2. Click Export to download a PDF or HTML copy of your dashboard.
    Use Copy URL and message that URL to another user to share your Dashboard.
    Use Share by Email to share your dashboard with another user through email.
    Use Schedule Dashboard to create a schedule for your dashboard to automatically update by.

  Warning:

  • You can’t share private dashboards.
  • Users that are not in a Household or Contact’s coverage may be restricted from seeing data about that Household or Contact.
